GETTING WARMER!

The first player closes his eyes and counts to 20. The rest of the family hides a small grape or a blueberry somewhere on the dinner table.

When the player is done counting, he must guess where the grape is. The others respond with “Cold” if he’s far away, or “Warm” if he’s getting close. If the answer is “Cold,” the player needs to take a bite of his meal. When he eventually finds the grape, pick a new player and start over.

FAUX-BALL FIGHT

No snow? No problem! Fake it by taking old tights or socks and cutting them off at the ankles. Fill the feet with flour and tie off the tops.

Head outside and throw your pretend snowballs. Make up your own games, such as faux-ball tag!
